My favorite running shoes on sale right now at - inov-8

My favorite running shoe is on sale for up to 60% off right now at The Clymb.  I have 5 pair of inov-8 kicks and love them all.
Below are my trail kicks.  There is a road show floating around here somewhere too.

Blue Green - F-lite 195.  I use these for easy trail runs.
Blue Red - F-lite 195.  Same as above.
Lime Green - Bare Grip 200.  I use these for super muddy terrain or where I need a lot of traction.
Red - X-Talon 190.  These are my racers with just the right amount of tread with minimal weight.  There are my favorite of the bunch.

...and Inov-8 if you want to send me a few pairs I would love to do a review for you!  But seriously.  I would!

Running with Glass

So I tried something new yesterday. I ran with Glass.  Google Glass to be more specific.  It was a good experience.  I was able to listen to music from my running playlist on Google Music, use the Strava Run Glass app to track my run and I even recorded some video of the run itself.  It was a pretty cool combination of stuff to be doing with Glass while running.

Music Playlist
Burn - Ellie Goulding
The Man - Aloe Blacc
Happy - Pharrell Williams
Wake Me Up - Avvici ft Aloe Blacc
Dark Horse - Katy Perry
Whistle - Flo Rida

Strava Run App
2.6 total miles
17:36 total time
6:51 overall min/mile pace

Mile 1.0 - 7:01 pace
Mile 2.0 - 6:58 pace
Mile 0.6 - 6:20 pace

POV videos while on the run

This is my view at mile 1 and a 7:01 min/mile pace.  Nice and Serene.

And this is what I saw and sounded like at the end of my run at a 6:20 min/mile pace.  I haven't run fast in a while so this isn't easy on the ears.

Overall I had a very positive experience running with Google Glass.  And while I usually don't run with music, GPS or camera (I barely tolerate wearing a standard wrist watch while running) I can see taking advantage of these Glass apps from time to time for short runs.

Running = Exploring

I decided to mix it up today and ran a little on the roads, lots of trails and a few miles on the beach.  It was great exploring the area on foot.

I even found the path that leads to what I can only assume is the Kindgom of #2 Pencils.

You just never know what you're going to find out there.  Keep exploring!
